Aemula provides free market data feeds for informational purposes to assist in reporting. The below data feeds and time periods are currently offered.
Market Data Feeds
For all data feeds and securities, we defer to the documentation and prospectuses for full information. The below descriptions represent summaries for the purpose of convenience, but should not be relied on for investment decisions or considered to be financial advice.
SPYx (S&P 500 xStocks Tokenized Index)
SPYx, managed by xStocks, is a tokenized onchain proxy to track the underlying State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, SPY, which tracks the S&P 500 index. In theory, the price of SPYx should trend toward SPY over time and generally reflect an approximation of the S&P 500 index.
We utilize SPYx in our data feed since onchain price data is free and publicly accessible compared to expensive, restricted commercial licensing for NYSE pricing. Additionally, onchain markets trade around the clock, allowing us to reflect the effects of after-hours trading.
We track the price of SPYx using the Alchemy Prices API, which combines prices from decentralized exchanges for SPYx on Ethereum.
QQQx (Nasdaq xStocks Tokenized Index)
QQQx, managed by xStocks, is a tokenized onchain proxy to track the underlying Invesco QQQ Trust, QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq 100 index. In theory, the price of QQQx should trend toward Nasdaq 100 over time and generally reflect an approximation of the QQQ index.
We utilize QQQx in our data feed since onchain price data is free and publicly accessible compared to expensive, restricted commercial licensing for Nasdaq pricing. Additionally, onchain markets trade around the clock, allowing us to reflect the effects of after-hours trading.
We track the price of QQQx using the Alchemy Prices API, which combines prices from decentralized exchanges for QQQx on Ethereum.
US 10yr (US 10 Year Treasury)
The US 10yr reflects the market yield on U.S. Treasury securities at 10-year constant maturity, quoted on an investment basis in basis points. We track the yield on the US 10yr using the FRED API from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, with data sources from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
US 10yr yields are updated daily on weekdays with the exception of holidays.
GLDx (Gold Spot xStocks Tokenized Index)
GLDx, managed by xStocks, is a tokenized onchain proxy to track the underlying SPDR Gold Trust ETF, GLD, which reflect the performance of the price of gold bullion, less the Trust's expenses. In theory, the price of GLDx should trend toward GLD over time and generally reflect an approximation of the spot price for gold bullion in the global over-the-counter (OTC) market for gold.
We utilize GLDx in our data feed since onchain price data is free and publicly accessible compared to expensive, restricted commercial licensing for spot gold OTC pricing.
We track the price of GLDx using the Alchemy Prices API, which combines prices from decentralized exchanges for GLDx on Ethereum.
BTC (Bitcoin)
Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset and the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. It is designed with a fixed supply and is commonly viewed as a store of value and benchmark asset for the broader cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin operates on a proof-of-work blockchain, where transactions are validated by a distributed network of miners without reliance on a central authority.
We track the price of Bitcoin using the Alchemy Prices API, which combines prices from both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
ETH (Ether)
Ethereum is a decentralized blockchain platform for smart contracts and applications, and is a foundational infrastructure layer for the decentralized economy. The Ethereum network uses its native asset, Ether, to pay for transaction fees, secure the network, and support activity across decentralized applications. Ethereum operates on a proof-of-stake blockchain to validate transactions across the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
We track the price of Bitcoin using the Alchemy Prices API, which combines prices from both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
Reported Time Periods
For each security, we show price changes over relevant time periods. Hovering (desktop) or clicking (mobile) a security will show the current time period being reported.
Current prices are updated every 15 minutes, starting on the hour.
Trading Session Change

We show Daily price changes when our data source posts daily updates for securities and assets they are tracking.
Trailing 24hr
We show Trailing 24hr price changes for assets that trade around the clock with no set market hours. Trailing 24hr reflects the difference in price between the nearest 15-minute interval and the price 24 hours prior, rounded to the nearest hour.
